Ned Wertimer (October 27, 1923 - January 2, 2013) was a prolific character actor who was primarily featured in guest or supporting roles in many American television dramas and sitcoms in the 1950s, 1960, and 1970s. Series fans know him for his appearance as Field Marshall Albert Kesselring in The Kommandant Dies at Dawn. His best known TV role was in The Jeffersons, where he played the recurring role of Ralph Hart, the doorman of the apartment building into which George and Louise Jefferson moved. Wertimer also appeared in the TV miniseries How The West Was Won and the made-for-TV movie Lassie: A New Beginning. Wertimer all but retired from acting at the end of the 1980s, but he came back in 2007 for the feature film of Disney's Pirates of the Carribean, in which he was featured as the Singing Pirate (based on a character from the original amusement park ride).
